Successful leaders also take the time to plan for the future. Develop a business plan that will project you or your company’s success over the long and short-term futures. You can also help your employees plan for the future by going over their options later on down their career paths. If you want to lead successfully, you need to keep the future in the back of your mind at all times.
Leaders should be compassionate as well. Don’t get overly mad at your employees for making mistakes; simply look at every mistake as a learning experience to grow from. This tells your employees that you care about their work, and that you’re approachable as a manager.
